Preparation, Mixing & Application

Prepare your site with properly braced formwork and a well-compacted, dampened sub-grade — no standing water. For post setting, excavate the hole below the frost depth with a diameter 100 mm (4 in) wider than the post. Mix each 30 kg bag with 2.7 L (2.85 qt) of potable water manually in a wheelbarrow or mortar box, or mechanically in a drum mixer, until uniform with no dry pockets. Place and consolidate the concrete to full depth, screed level, and finish only after bleed water has evaporated. Maintain ambient and material temperatures between +5 °C and +30 °C (40 °F and 86 °F) for at least 24 hours before and 48 hours after application. For temperatures below +5 °C, use PIVIT FAST STRONGSET™.
